Equity in Science Forum

Wednesday 10 March 2021, 13:15 – 14:15, Skyroom, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

NDLR strongly supports the drive to correct the current gender imbalance in senior positions within the science and technology sector. NDLR are holding a forum to discuss the key issues facing the support and progression of female scientists. There will be short talks from eminent female scientists, including Professor Suzanne Cory (The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research), outlining their career paths and the challenges they overcame, plus an opportunity for questions/discussion. This forum is open to both men and women- it is not restricted to female participants.  We would very much like to encourage all attendees to participate in this educational forum since gender equity issues require both awareness and support from female and male scientists. Please come along to show your support, have your say and learn more about what you can do to implement change.

Are you familiar with the TV show ‘You can’t ask that?’ Well here’s your opportunity to put such a question to our Equity in Science panel of eminent clinicians and scientists, A/Profs Ann Mullaly (MD), Ingrid Winkler and Steven Lane (MD). Please submit questions in advance of the meeting by clicking the button below.
